Background
Details
H 13 recognizes a C3a-determinant (eg C3 alpha-chain) which is present also on native C3. H 13 allows discrimination of ubiquitous or nonspecifically bound native C3 from biologically active C3b fragment; C3b or C are negative with H 13
Polypeptide reacting: C3a-determinant on C3 alpha-chain
Specific Application: Detection of C3 deposits in tissue, cells, microorganisms and immune complexes. It should be used with positive control anti-C3b (H11/H206). Non-activated, absorbed C3 contains the C3a determinant, whereas activated C3 is negative with H 13.
