WB with anti-Histidine Decarboxylase antibody (Cat. No. 16045, 1:2,500) on Raw 264.7 whole cell lysate; secondary antibody: anti-rabbit HRP (Cat. No. 90003, 1:10,000)

anti-Histidine Decarboxylase rabbit polyclonal + anti-rabbit IgG HRP set

The set provides primary anti-Histidine Decarboxylase rabbit polyclonal antibody and secondary rabbit IgG HRP antibody for western blot.
Histidine Decarboxylase catalyses the conversion of histidine into histamine. HDC can be found in the histamine secreting ECL cells of some species as well as in mast cells. The anti-Histidine Decarboxylase antibody is raised against recombinant rat HDC.

Background

Details

anti-Histidine Decarboxylase antibody:
Histidine decarboxylase (HDC) is the enzyme catalyzing the conversion of histidine into histamine. HDC can be found in the histamine secreting ECL cells of some species as well as in the mast cells. Absorption with 10-100 μg immunogen per ml diluted antiserum abolishes the staining.
In Western blot the antiserum detects the 54 kD and 73 kD forms in addition to a 63 kD form (rat stomach, see Dartsch et al., 1998).
Positive control: Stefanini-fixed frozen sections of rat fundus.

Dartsch, C., Chen, D. & Persson, L. Multiple forms of rat stomach histidine decarboxylase may reflect posttranslational activation of the enzyme. Regul. Pept. 77, 33–41 (1998).

anti-rabbit IgG goat polyclonal, HRP conjugate:
Whole rabbit IgG secondary antibodies are isolated from antisera by immunoaffinity chromatography. The antibody is conjugated to Horseradish peroxidase (HRP) and is commonly used for WB, IHC and ELISA.
Based on immunoelectrophoresis and/or ELISA, the antibody reacts with whole molecule rabbit IgG. It also reacts with the light chains of other rabbit immunoglobulins. No antibody was detected against non-immunoglobulin serum proteins. The antibody has been tested by ELISA and/or solid-phase adsorbed to ensure minimal cross-reaction with human serum proteins, but it may cross-react with immunoglobulins from other species.
